| 产品介绍 | background: This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription from the neighboring MSANTD3 (Myb/SANT-like DNA-binding domain containing 3) and TMEFF1 (transmembrane protein with EGF-like and two follistatin-like domains 1) genes. The read-through transcript encodes a fusion protein that shares sequence identity with the products of each individual gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013] Function: May inhibit NODAL and BMP signaling during neural patterning (By similarity). May be a tumor suppressor in brain cancers. Subcellular Location: Cell membrane. Tissue Specificity: Expressed predominantly in brain, and at lower levels in heart, placenta and skeletal muscle. Down-regulated in brain tumors as compared to control brain tissues. Similarity: Belongs to the tomoregulin family. Contains 1 EGF-like domain. Contains 2 Kazal-like domains.
